Are you going to start studying in Wageningen? Then the Annual Introduction Days (AID) are a great start to your student years. During the AID you will get to know the city like the back of your hand and really learn what life as a student is all about. During the entire week there are many fun, interesting, exciting, and fascinating activities which will allow you to quickly feel at home among your fellow students and in the city itself. Every year approximately 95% of new students participate in the AID. If you join in the action you will experience the AID with a group of 10 students (Dutch and international), accompanied by 2 student mentors (your 'AID mom and dad'). You will visit several activities with your group, party at the student associations and you get all kinds of useful information about your study and the city of Wageningen . A lot of groups keep in touch after the AID. Participating in the AID is an opportunity to make life-long friends.
If you participate in the AID, you'll get to know the sports associations, student associations, the possibilities for going out, your classmates, the WUR and all the other things that Wageningen has to offer. Besides study-related activities, there are also many other things to do such as visiting a music festival, a comedy night, a sports day, an open-air movie and a the Idealis Street Theatre Festival. The AID is not just a great and important week but it is also especially unforgettable. A lot of students in Wageningen remember their AID and therefore strongly suggest that future students in Wageningen participate in this great week. If you want to become a member of a student association, you will have to take into account that you'll probably have to participate in the associations introduction week, which takes place after the AID.
